CVS week 2 Paper Bag project

In this second week of CVS the students/learners were returned to a more familiar working environment where the drawing of tangible objects was the activity.
Initially the bags were placed in an arrangement on table tops and the set up was rendered in the conventional manner using pencil on paper.
Later charcoal was introduced and later still, the putty rubber was used to transform that drawing.
On Wednesday the bags were arranged in a grid on a lower platform and drawings in charcoal were done in 3 stages, each superimposed on the previous. This was to negate the practise of "correcting" drawings , denying the possibility of perfection. The importance of the history of the process being evident was emphasised.  Later negative space was looked at and finally the possibility of carving an image from a ground covered in charcoal was explored ( cut short by need to clear space).
