meeting

Hi Guys
Just wondering if we should have first year meeting . I think alot of the structure needs to be teased out . We have very few numbers attending and something needs to change . I feel we need to co-ordinate as staff better .. John cant do admin and co-ordinate also ..We all as first year staff need to get together and discuss .

I will be continuing on with the mixed media workshop on Friday , Also I would like to do tutorials next week instead of life drawing as i feel i need to touch base with alot of my students in my group so i would like to get them together for a crit at this point . I will be gone to tyrone gutherie from the 9th to 16th so ill miss the exhibit . Also I would like to get the animations done the week before i go so no confusion

Hi all,

I have emailed a list of students to your gmit email account who don't seem to have had tutorials. I'm sure most of them have been seen, just not marked on the wall, thought we should be aware of who might be slipping through, there are 47 names, which can't be right.

Sketchup introduction workshop report

After a brief introduction on tuesday morning, I facilitated a projected introduction to Sketchup in the afternoon. We had a few problems with downloading but soon we got underway. Rather than following the official tutorials, we  did our own exercise. The reaction was very positive and I think that many of those who participated will go on to use this very useful digital modeling tool.

Hi all,
I am planning on doing a basic introduction to Googles free online  CAD software on Wednesday Nov. 16 if I can get enough student interest. They will need to have their laptops with them and I can demonstrate using the projector. Last wednesday I did a repeat tech drawing workshop.

Ive been updating module on a regular basis , so if there is any info you need to tell the students , like a workshop etc,,, I need the info on here . We have 60 students that check it on a regular basis

Tulca trip

Hi Guys

Tulca trip is on so for monday morning . Our first stop is the festival gallery in the galway shopping centre . Anna Mc Carthy will do a general talk on tulca there @ 10 . She is also trying to arrange other people to be there in the other venues so she s getting back to us . I have all the field trip forms filled in my office
